The DoorPRO Doorstop has been Redesigned Our DoorPRO continues to reduce property damage when used correctly on the hinge compared to all others. The DoorPRO design is not a prop or a wedge, it is a hinge-based doorstop. “If you can hold the hinge open you can hold the door open.” Jam-doorstops such as props or wedges are just that, props and wedges jammed in the door-jam causing property damage. Reduce property damage and professionalize your service staff with the DoorPRO Doorstop. Now this doorstop can go everywhere you go! How are you preventing door slams at your school? Education facilities have a lot of doors. Big steel doors. This presents an increased risk of injury, either through students being hit by opening or closing doors or through getting fingers trapped between doors or in hinges. Finger trapping injuries are the most common accidents caused by doors, while injuries caused by being hit with a door can be more serious. It is important that school and college administrators look to reduce the risks by ensuring proper steps are taken to avoid these injuries. The DoorPRO Doorstop is easy to use and safely and efficiently keeps the door open.
Making it as one of the finalist at the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) has been such an adventure. I had the pleasure of presenting to Kevin O’Leary, Chairman of O’Shares ETF Investments and Star of ABC’s Shark Tank, Daymond John also on Shark Tank, and Cindy Eckert at the Sands Expo & Convention Center, the DoorPRO Doorstop. I explained, why it may be a simple invention, it really can make a difference. First impressions, decreasing work related injury and increasing work efficiencies are the top reasons why the DoorPRO Doorstop has been so successful. I think they agreed! Naming the DoorPRO Doorstop at the Winner and also voted by the attendees as Customer's Choice was surreal! Here is an article written by the Las Vegas Review-Journal: By Richard N. Velotta / Las Vegas Review-Journal October 11, 2018 - 5:33 pm A former Strip bellman and 1992 UNLV graduate is $10,000 richer and will get a free booth at the 2019 Global Gaming [...]
Going in and out of a heavy door with your hands full can be a struggle. Not only carrying too many items, but not having something to help keep the door open. Grabbing anything near to you to hold the door open may sound like a good idea at that time, but it can be a safety hazard. We designed our doorstop to be stored on a wall mount, making it readily accessible. Placing our doorstop on the hinge pin keeps you from bending over and risking an injury by using items that were not made to hold open doors. Leave it to the PROs to hold your door open - DoorPRO Doorstop! When you need an open door, you need DoorPRO Doorstop! Purchase DoorPRO Doorstop For Your Home Today!
The job responsibilities of hotel workers will vary based on their position, but many of them are tasked with the job of cleaning, maintaining and caring for the property. As a result, one of the most common injuries to hotel workers include musculoskeletal injuries. Hotel workers spend a significant portion of their day bending and lifting, which can lead to musculoskeletal injuries and back pain. These injuries can range from minor to severe, depending on what triggers the injury and how soon it is treated by medical professionals. Missed work and out of pocket costs to alleviate back pain can cost large companies millions each year and even more in the loss of production. When the management team, as well as the employees work together in order to reduce risks and prevent injuries within the workplace, everyone benefits. One way to eliminate the need for bending over and decrease the risk of back injury is by using the DoorPRO Doorstop. When you need [...]
Recently, our friends Alex and Iris visited the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa. They had the pleasure of meeting David, a Bellman, who was pleased to pose with his favorite tool for providing excellent customer service. Always keeping his head up, David understands how important first impressions are. Our friends notice how professional David delivered their bags into the room and was thrilled to see the DoorPRO in action. My wife, Jennifer and I are excited to stay at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa this July and celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. Besides looking for some much-needed rest and relaxation, we are excited to meet with Kristyna - F & B Coordinator, Michael - Front Office Manager, and Stephen - Room Service Manger, who have been ordering the DoorPRO Doorstop for their staff for over 10 years. Meeting with the Executives is a wonderful opportunity, talking with team members such as David [...]
We love to hear how the DoorPRO Doorstop helps you to perform your job. We love it even more when we hear how great our customers are too. Thank you for sharing the DoorPRO Doorstop! I travel the world for Reality and documentary TV/Film, and we’re usually traveling with 10-40 cases of gear…in and out of hotel rooms, conference rooms, you name it. I’ve worked on shows like Ghost Hunters International, Dual Survival, Comic Book Men, and Survivor. A few years ago I was doing a Discovery show in Miami, Florida and a bellhop used a DoorPro Doorstop to put our gear into our tech room. I said “Man, I wish I had one of those,” and he gave it to me on the spot. I’ve been traveling all over the world with it since, always in the front pocket of my backpack. Even when my wife and I go on vacation, it’s always with me. Thanks for a very helpful product. [...]
We Say Keep The Doors OPEN! An article posted in the Las Vegas Review Journal talks about a panic button for hotel staff. Here is what it said: Las Vegas hotel maids to ask for panic buttons in guest rooms The Culinary Union will ask Las Vegas casinos and hotels to supply guest room attendants with panic buttons amid national attention to the issue of misconduct in the workplace. The proposal is part of the union’s demands as it readies for talks for 57,000 employees. Panic buttons would allow guest room attendants to notify security if they are in an uncomfortable or threatening situation. Read More... Companies are rethinking safety and misconduct in the working environment. Keeping employees safe is a priority. We suggest keeping the doors open with the DoorPRO Doorstop. If all staff carried a DoorPRO Doorstop with or without a belt clip, this may help reduce the fear some employees may have and cut down on any misconduct behind closed [...]
In the Hospitality Industry, it is very important not only to make a great first impression but to keep this positive impression throughout the guest's journey. The bellman is usually the first impression and could also be the last impression as guests are leaving. There was an article that was written by Harry Nobles that I thought was very appropriate. During my many years of inspecting and evaluating hundreds of hotels and restaurants and dealing with thousands of employees, I sometimes think I have experienced every possible example of service delivery. I hope I am wrong because that might lessen my enthusiastic anticipation at visiting and shopping the next property. Over the years I have acquired some pet peeves about service and some mistakes that employees make when providing these services. I have also developed some simple remedies to correct most of these infractions. Some examples that come to mind have to do with bellmen. For some reason, I find it very [...]
